Emilia Díaz-Delgado In Concert LIVE at Pacific Grove Art Center AUG 24~

Carmel Guitar Society is delighted to present Emilia Díaz-Delgado at the Pacific Grove Art Center for an evening performance on classical guitar. Enjoy a LIVE concert by the young guitar virtuoso who has studied with world-renowned guitarists, including Sergio Assad, David Tanenbaum, Manuel Barrueco, Meng Su, Bokyung Byun, Eliot Fisk, David Russell, Richard Savino, Johan Smith, and Laura Snowden.

Emilia Díaz-Delgado is a classical guitarist based in San Francisco, California. She currently studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College Division with Meng Su and David Tanenbaum where she has received several awards. Her collaborations include performances with Omni Concerts, the South Bay Guitar Society, Austin Classical Guitar, and guest appearances on NPR’s radio program From The Top.

Recently, Emilia premiered Chopiniana # 10 by composer Sergio Assad, a collaboration by Assad and Knobloch Strings titled “The Woman and the Guitar." She is the recipient of many accolades, including top placements at the Guitar Foundation of America International Youth Competition (2022) and the James Stroud Guitar Competition (2023). Previous classical guitar teachers include Scott Cmiel (2018-2023) and Igor Avila Soria (2014-2018). Serving her community through music, Emilia has organized charity performances and community concerts benefiting the Bay Area and beyond, partnering with the National Audubon Society, Wild Bird Rescue & Rehab, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, and the Homeless Children’s Network. Additionally, she has worked with the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and NotesForNourishment to bring more performances to the public.
