Founded in 1961, Carmel Guitar Society 501(c)(3) is one of the oldest classical guitar societies existing today. Dedicated to education, community, and performance, the organization presents events throughout Monterey Bay that bring community members together. If you share a passion for classical guitar playing or take pleasure from the music, please join us -- you need not be a guitarist.

Our Mission:
The Carmel Guitar Society fosters classical guitar appreciation and cultural enrichment in Monterey County through concerts, workshops, and therapeutic music programs. By supporting local and international artists, offering accessible ticket programs, and providing educational workshops, the organization brings the community together to experience, enjoy, and celebrate the beauty of classical guitar.
