Carmel Guitar Society est. 1961
Classic Guitar Society of Carmel

Founded in 1961, the organization is one of the oldest classical guitar societies existing today. Dedicated to education, community, and performance, Carmel Guitar Society events bring Monterey Bay community members together for classical guitar appreciation and enjoyment through publicly presented concert series, gatherings, guitar workshops, and the Healing Guitar program. As of 2026, CGS continues to oversee grant-funded music programs within Monterey County.
