Carmel Guitar Society presents one of America's leading guitar ensembles, DuoSF, in concert!
Join us at the Pacific Grove Art Center for an evening of exceptional guitar music with DuoSF, the renowned duo based in the San Francisco Bay Area featuring Christopher Mallett & Robert Miller. Described by Classical Guitar Magazine as “effortlessly played” and delivering “one of the very best” interpretations, DuoSF has captivated audiences around the world with their superb performances. Recent tours have taken DuoSF across Asia to perform in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. They've graced prestigious stages such as the Kravis Center in Florida and the Musikfest Festival in Pennsylvania. Their passion for new music is evident in their recent commission of a five-movement work by Chilean composer Javier Farias, inspired by the Pan American Unity Mural in San Francisco.
Robert and Christopher, the duo behind DuoSF, are not only exceptional musicians but also dedicated advocates for the arts. They co-founded The California Conservatory of Music in 2011, enriching the lives of over 1,300 students and families in the Bay Area. In 2012, they launched The Peninsula Guitar Series, bringing international talent to the Bay Area for concerts and masterclasses.
