Carmel Guitar Society Presents the Second Annual Classical Guitar Retreat

We, at the Carmel Guitar Society, warmly invite you to the beautiful Asilomar Resort for an unforgettable experience. Our second annual retreat promises three nights and four days filled with classical guitar education, performance, appreciation, and celebration. Building on the successes and feedback from our 2025 event, we have crafted an improved program designed to enrich our guitar community.

What to Expect

This retreat is a wonderful opportunity to explore the instrument we love. Together, we will enhance our playing skills while learning from fellow classical guitarists. You will benefit from masterclasses and more, led by some of the world's greatest guitar masters, including featured artists Alan Mearns and Hao Yang!

Our non-profit organization is honored to present this year's classical guitar retreat with a thoughtfully designed schedule. We have included ample space between masterclasses, lectures, ensemble sessions, private lesson options, onsite concerts, and much more. We encourage you to bring your favorite classical guitar instrument and any music you are currently working on to improve or share with your peers.

Founded in 1961, the Carmel Guitar Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and one of the oldest classical guitar societies in existence today. We are dedicated to education, community, and performance. Our events bring together members of the Monterey Bay community for classical guitar appreciation and enjoyment. We host publicly presented concert series, gatherings, guitar workshops, and the Healing Guitar program. As of 2026, we continue to oversee grant-funded music programs within Monterey County, ensuring that music remains accessible to everyone.
