Coming to Asilomar Resort in Pacific Grove June 17-20 | Alan Mearns, Hao Yang, Classical Guitar Retreat Event

Carmel Guitar Society is presenting another Classical Guitar Retreat at Asilomar Resort in Pacific Grove, CA this year. Join for the 2026 second annual event taking place on Monterey Bay. Spend three nights and four days in a relaxed and supportive environment on the beautiful central coast of California. Soak in the scenery and play classical guitar with peers who range from hobbyists to professionals. All are welcome who wish to improve playing, work on technique, meet fellow guitarists and immerse themselves with world-class artists, Hao Yang and Alan Mearns.

The program will include a balanced schedule of casual lecture, optional guitar ensemble participation, masterclasses by Alan Mearns and Hao Yang, private lessons, and guitar community enrichment through spending meal time together, relaxation in nature, beach strolls, and simply exploring the gorgeous and spacious resort grounds.

In addition to classical guitar retreat programming and lodging and meals, event registration includes VIP entry to the two concerts happening that are also open to the public during this event. For the first time, Carmel Guitar Society nonprofit organization will host and present evening classical guitar concerts at the Asilomar Resort itself! Enjoy the ease of access to these special events by walking from dinner to the concerts.
