As the 2026 Concert Series by Carmel Guitar Society Monterey County nonprofit organization continues, the community gets ready to welcome two world renowned classical guitarists to Asilomar Resort. Anytime you can bear witness to an individual performing the craft they master is a gift, when that person is a musical artist, the rewards are multiplied.
June 17-20th at Asilomar Resort promises learning, listening, relaxation and connection for those attending the Second Annual Classical Guitar Retreat by Carmel Guitar Society. For the public, private concert experiences are available both Thu June 18th and Fri June 19th.
On Thursday, magnificent master of classical guitar Hao Yang performs live in concert at 7 PM. This show will feature a special appearance by composer, guitarist and master luthier, Kenny Hill who will join Hao Yang to perform a composition he wrote just for this concert.
On Friday, esteemed artist Alan Mearns will delight audiences with a classical guitar concert also at 7 PM. Alan Mearns is known for depth and the ability to work with many musical genres. This is a performance not to be missed.
The public concerts take place in the Surf and Sand Room at Asilomar Conference Ground offering a truly intimate listening experience. Space is limited so act fast to secure a ticket for next week's performances. In Pacific Grove, CA, the beauty of classical guitar awaits!
