Tomorrow Night in Pacific Grove: Carmel Guitar Society's Summer Open Mic & Mixer Returns July 18

The sound of classical guitar returns to downtown Pacific Grove tomorrow evening as the Carmel Guitar Society welcomes musicians, music lovers, and curious newcomers to its popular Open Mic & Mixer-Summer Edition on Saturday, July 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pacific Grove Art Center.

Hosted by Volunteer Board President and Guitar Instructor Anthony DeMers, this event is part concert, part community gathering, and part musical salon, the evening celebrates the vibrant classical guitar community of the Monterey Bay while creating space for performers and listeners alike to connect through music. Guests can expect an inspiring variety of performances by local guitarists ranging from hobbyists and students to seasoned performers, all sharing the stage in an intimate and welcoming setting.

Whether you are a guitarist eager to perform, a classical music enthusiast, or just seeking something special to do on a Saturday night, the Summer Open Mic is a rare chance to enjoy live classical guitar in a relaxed, community-driven setting.

Performers are invited to bring their instruments and share a piece or movement during designated performance slots of up to seven minutes each. Advance RSVP is encouraged.
