Consider Support through Monterey County Gives!
For the first time, Carmel Guitar Society is a part of the annual Monterey County Gives! campaign, joining a select group of nonprofits making a difference in Monterey County. We are honored to be included in MC Gives! this year. Now through December 31st, all contributions up to $75,000 are met with a pro-rated match!
Our Programs: 
In the past two years we've grown our impact in Monterey County. The Healing Guitar program is one of our oldest mission-driven activities and brings the enjoyment of classical guitar to those in senior and care facilities who otherwise would not have access to live performances. Thriving in 2025, Healing Guitar is a direct result of continued donor support.

The concert series presented by Carmel Guitar Society is a newer community effort that gets most of the attention and publicity while being supported almost entirely by attendee ticket sales. This is an aspect of our organization's offerings that will benefit significantly with donor support beyond ticket sales. 

And most recently in June of 2025, our newest effort launched in the form of a Classical Guitar Retreat. Part of our mission to foster education, community and performance surrounding classical guitar is realized through this event. Planned again for 2026 to take place at Asilomar Resort, any funds available for this now annual retreat event go towards securing the artists we present to teach and perform as well as scholarships for local students of guitar who may not otherwise have access. 

Carmel Guitar Society remains focused on becoming a reliable source for community-building around classical guitar on the Monterey Bay that is accessible to all. Meet our all-volunteer Board of Directors.
