Good News in Bay Area Classical Guitar

The 2026 Second Annual Classical Guitar Retreat at Asilomar was a great time, with both new and returning artists and attendees, an increase in participants, and the enjoyment of a larger event space where we hosted public concerts on-site. Save the date! We will be back at Asilomar June 9th-12th next year. Watch for early bird pricing in October for the 2027 retreat.

We received new support at this year's retreat from fellow organizations, including The Omni Foundation. Our friends at Omni are celebrating their 46th season of showcasing amazing guitarists from around the globe, right here in the Bay Area. Under the artistic direction of founder Richard Patterson, Omni brings both world-famous virtuosos and exciting new talent to local stages. Their passion for making great guitar music accessible is clear; they host concerts in some of San Francisco’s best venues and go out of their way to welcome students and the whole community. We’re thrilled to be connected with such a dedicated group of guitar lovers and highly recommend attending one of their upcoming shows!
